Edith Loudon (Perth, SCO) finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Loudon defeated Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres 15-1, then went on to lose 7-1 against Sweden's Anna Hasselborg. Loudon responded with a 5-2 win over Czech Republic's Hana Synackova. Loudon won 6-1 against Scotland's Eve Muirhead, then won 8-5 against Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni in their final qualifying round match.
