Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) finished 5-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger defeated
Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB) 6-3, then went on to lose 7-3 against Maria Bushell (Calgary, AB). Scheidegger responded with a 7-3 win over Amber Holland (Kronau, SK). Scheidegger won 5-2 against Allison Earl (Calgary, AB), then won 8-4 against Japan's Yukako Tsuchiya and 9-4 against Valerie Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic Championship title, Scheidegger earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Scheidegger did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scheidegger ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
