Marla Mallett (Vancouver, BC) finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallett defeated British Columbia's Kathy Smiley 10-6, then went on to lose 8-1 against British Columbia's Ashleigh Clark. Mallett responded with a 4-2 win over British Columbia's Georgina Wheatcroft in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the VCC Ladies Totem Cashspiel Championship title, Mallett earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $2,800CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Mallett did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mallett ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
