Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton lost 10-4 to Alberta's Kevin Martin in the Final of the Tim Hortons Brier, held March 7 - 15, 2009 in Calgary, Alberta.
 
Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton finished 7-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton defeated Nova Scotia's Mark Dacey 8-3, then won 9-4 against Yukon/N.W.T.'s Jamie Koe. Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton went on to lose 6-5 against Prince Edward Island's Rod MacDonald. Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton responded with a 7-4 win over Quebec's Jean-Michel Menard. Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton won 8-2 against British Columbia's Sean Geall. Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton went on to lose 5-4 against New Brunswick's Russ Howard.
