Ferbey responded with a 6-5 win over Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Ferbey won 9-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB), then won 8-7 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
