Jeff McCrady (Ottawa, ON) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . McCrady lost 7-3 to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) where McCrady responded with a 7-6 win over Jean-Michel Menard (Lévis/Gatineau, QC). McCrady went on to lose 6-5 against Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
