Martin won 5-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), then won 9-5 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) and 6-3 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Martin earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the World Cup of Curling.
