In their opening game, Mallett defeated Joanne Delanoy (Edmonton, AB) 6-5, then won 9-4 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-2 against Renelle Bryden (Edmonton, AB). Mallett won 6-4 against Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni in their final qualifying round match.
 
Mallett earned 11.460 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic.
