Sweeting responded with a 6-4 win over Alberta's June Campbell. Sweeting won 6-5 against Renelle Bryden (Edmonton, AB), then won 4-3 against Casey Scheidegger (Red Deer, AB). Sweeting went on to lose 7-4 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB). Sweeting responded with a 7-6 win over Megan Kirk (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
