Shuster3-1 at 2009 Radisson SAS Oslo Cup

John Shuster (Duluth, MN) finished 3-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Anton Bobrov (Moscow, RUS) 9-1, then went on to lose 6-4 against Norway's Pal Trulsen. Shuster responded with a 7-1 win over Switzerland's Manuel Ruch. Shuster won 5-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Radisson SAS Oslo Cup playoffs earned Shuster 3.310 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Shuster did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Shuster ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
