Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) lost 6-3 to Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) in the Final of the Bank of America Schmirler Curling Classic, held September 25 - 28, 2009 at the Caledonian Curling Club in Regina, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Scott won 7-5 over Saskatchewan's Tracy Streifel in the semifinals of the 2009 Bank of America Schmirler Curling Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 9-4 over Heather Rankin (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Bank of America Schmirler Curling Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Scott finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scott defeated Saskatchewan's Cathy Inglis 6-3, then won 6-5 against Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-3 against Jenna Loder (Winnipeg, MB). Scott went on to lose 7-5 against Holland. Scott responded with a 6-4 win over Japan's Moe Meguro in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Bank of America Schmirler Curling Classic, Scott take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Scott did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scott ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
