David Murdoch (Scotland, UK) qualified for the 2009 Bern Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Mark Neeleman (Zoetemeer, NED). of the 2009 Bern Open in Bern, Switzerland;

Murdoch finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . Murdoch won 7-6 against Bartschiger in their final qualifying round match.
