Karnusian2-3 at 2009 Lucerne Curling Trophy

Stefan Karnusian (St. Moritz, SUI) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Karnusian defeated
Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) 7-5, then went on to lose 9-1 against Finland's Tomi Rantamaki. Karnusian responded with a 6-4 win over Hungary's Lajos Belleli. Karnusian went on to lose 8-4 against Alexander Attinger (Dübendorf, SUI). Karnusian lost 8-4 to Thomas Lovold (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
The berth into the first round of the Lucerne Curling Trophy playoffs earned Karnusian 2.650 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Karnusian did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Karnusian ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
