DeJong finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, DeJong defeated China's Xindi Zhang 7-5, then went on to lose 6-5 against Faye White (Edmonton, AB). DeJong responded with a 8-5 win over Bobbie Sauder (Edmonton, AB). DeJong won 10-4 against Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB), then won 8-2 against Japan's Moe Meguro. DeJong went on to lose 8-1 against Alberta's June Campbell. DeJong responded with a 6-4 win over Kirsten Fox (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
DeJong earned 6.600 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic.
