Liudmila Privivkova (Moscow, RUS) won 10-2 over Karallee Swabb (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic, held October 16 - 19, 2009 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Privivkova won 8-1 over Delia DeJong (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2009 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 10-5 over Alberta's June Campbell in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
Privivkova finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Privivkova defeated Heather Lemna (Calgary, AB) 6-4, then won 6-3 against Nadine Chyz (Calgary, AB) and 8-3 against Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB). Privivkova went on to lose 6-5 against Megan Kirk (Lethbridge, AB). Privivkova lost 8-6 to Lisa Johnson (Edmonton, AB) where Privivkova responded with a 8-2 win over Renelle Bryden (Edmonton, AB). Privivkova won 8-1 against Faye White (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic Championship title, Privivkova earned 13.200 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Privivkova did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Privivkova ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
