Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON) qualified for the 2009 Southwestern Ontario Womens Charity Cashspiel playoffs, set to play their quarterfinals match against Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON). of the 2009 Southwestern Ontario Womens Charity Cashspiel in London, Ontario;

Hastings are currently 1-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Anna Sloan (Stirling, SCO) 9-2. In their next game, Hastings plays Auld on Friday at 11:30am Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON) on Saturday at 9am and Amie Shackleton (Ilderton, ON) at 5pm.
