Jason March (Toronto, ON) lost 7-6 to John Bell (Unionville, ON) in the Final of the TD Canada Trust Scugog Cup, held November 27 - 29, 2009 at the Port Perry Community Curling Club in Port Perry, Canada. To advance to the championship game, March won 6-5 over Robert Dickson (Napanee, ON) in the semifinals of the 2009 TD Canada Trust Scugog Cup in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada;
 
March finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, March defeated Jeff Clark (Port Perry, ON) 9-2, then went on to lose 10-5 against Norm McGlaughlin (Toronto, ON). March responded with a 7-6 win over Patrick Greenman (Uxbridge, ON). March won 6-5 against Greg Timbers (Uxbridge, ON), then won 6-3 against Don Beaton (Port Perry, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the TD Canada Trust Scugog Cup, March take home 2.500 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, March did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. March ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
