Olga Zharkova (Moscow, RUS) qualified for the 2009 Kamloops Crown of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 1-0 against Moe Meguro (Karuizawa, JPN). of the 2009 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Zharkova finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zharkova defeated Ashleigh Clark (Vancouver, BC) 1-0, then won 5-4 against Meguro. Zharkova went on to lose 8-7 against Kelley Law (Richmond, BC). Zharkova responded with a 5-3 win over British Columbia's Karla Thompson. Zharkova won 9-2 against Dailene Sivertson (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Zharkova earned 4.200 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Kamloops Crown of Curling. For week of the event schedule, Zharkova did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Zharkova ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
