Walchuk lost 9-2 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) where Walchuk responded with a 8-4 win over Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL). Walchuk went on to lose 6-3 against Pat Simmons (Davidson, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Walchuk earned 6.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 21 of the event schedule, Walchuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Walchuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
