Mellor responded with a 5-4 win over Dave Cobean (Port Elgin, ON). Mellor won 5-2 against John Mellor (Port Elgin, ON), then won 6-4 against Bob Armstrong (Port Elgin, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Port Elgin Superspiel, Mellor take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $3,150CDN prize. For week 21 of the event schedule, Mellor did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mellor ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
