Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2010 The Shoot-Out playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-5 against Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB). of the 2010 The Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Bawel finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bawel defeated Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) 6-5, then won 7-6 against Warren Hassall (Lloydminster, AB). Bawel went on to lose 5-2 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Bawel responded with a 8-5 win over Colin Griffiths (Grande Prairie, AB). Bawel won 7-2 against Steve Mackey (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
