Don Walchuk (Edmonton, AB) won 6-4 over Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the The Shoot-Out, held September 16 - 19, 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Walchuk won 6-3 over Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2010 The Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 7-1 over Brandon Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 The Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Walchuk finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walchuk defeated Aaron Sluchinski (Edmonton, AB) 8-7, then won 4-3 against Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK) and 7-5 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB). Walchuk went on to lose 8-3 against Glen Kennedy (Edmonton, AB). Walchuk responded with a 8-2 win over Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the The Shoot-Out Championship title, Walchuk earned 17.840 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 2 of the event schedule, Walchuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Walchuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
