Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) run at the 2010 Twin Anchors Invitational came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). of the 2010 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Cotter advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-4 win over Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC).
 
Cotter finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated Korea's Dong-Keun Lee 4-3, then went on to lose 9-4 against Rick Folk (Kamloops, BC). Cotter responded with a 6-4 win over Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC). Cotter went on to lose 9-3 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Cotter responded with a 6-2 win over Jason Gunnlaugson (Moscow, RUS). Cotter won 6-4 against Pierce, then won 7-2 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Cotter earned 11.480 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Twin Anchors Invitational, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 9th place overall with 134.030 total points. Cotter ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.480 points earned so far this season.
