Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2010 Westcoast Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-2 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). of the 2010 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada;
 
McEwen finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Ken McArdle (New Westminster, BC) 10-4, then won 8-4 against Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC). McEwen went on to lose 7-6 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). McEwen responded with a 6-5 win over Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB). McEwen went on to lose 7-5 against Pat Simmons (Davidson, SK). McEwen responded with a 7-3 win over Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC). McEwen won 5-2 against Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McEwen earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westcoast Curling Classic, remaining in 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 173.320 total points. McEwen ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.610 points earned so far this season.
