Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2010 Westcoast Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 3-2 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). of the 2010 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Schlender finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schlender lost 6-2 to Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC), then responded with a 9-4 win over Deane Horning (Castlegar, BC). Schlender won 7-6 against Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS). Schlender went on to lose 6-5 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Schlender responded with a 8-5 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Schlender won 11-4 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 6-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Schlender earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westcoast Curling Classic, moving up 39 spots the World Ranking Standings into 54th place overall with 28.085 total points. Schlender ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.920 points earned so far this season.
