Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2010 Westcoast Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB).
 
Virtue finished 4-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Virtue lost 7-3 to Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC), then responded with a 6-2 win over Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC). Virtue went on to lose 6-5 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Virtue responded with a 7-4 win over Xiaoming Xu (Harbin, CHN). Virtue won 7-1 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Moscow, RUS), then won 6-3 against Jason Montgomery (Duncan, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Virtue earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westcoast Curling Classic, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 56th place overall with 26.854 total points. Virtue ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.600 points earned so far this season.
