Sweden's Per Carlsen qualified for the 2010 Bern Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-1 against Hammy McMillan (Stranraer, SCO). of the 2010 Bern Open in Bern, Switzerland;
 
Sweden's Per Carlsen finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweden's Per Carlsen defeated Daniel Neuner (Hamburg, GER) 5-3, then won 7-4 against Switzerland's Christof Schwaller and 5-2 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess.
