Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-3 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, held October 22 - 25, 2010 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 6-5 over Kevin Park (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-3 over Mathew Camm (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
McEwen finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Scott Madams (Winnipeg, MB) 7-5, then won 4-3 against Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) and 4-2 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). McEwen won 6-2 against Peter Nicholls (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Canad Inns Prairie Classic Championship title, McEwen earned 34.960 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 208.280 total points. McEwen ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 58.570 points earned so far this season.
