Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) lost 6-3 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, held October 22 - 25, 2010 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Stoughton won 6-2 over Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; and won 5-4 over Xiaoming Xu (Harbin, CHN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Stoughton finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Murray Woodward (Ste. Anne, MB) 4-2, then won 4-2 against Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK). Stoughton went on to lose 5-2 against Peter Nicholls (Winnipeg, MB). Stoughton responded with a 7-1 win over Brendan Taylor (Brandon, MB). Stoughton went on to lose 7-6 against Fowler. Stoughton responded with a 6-3 win over David Kraichy (Winnipeg, MB). Stoughton won 6-4 against Nicholls in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, Stoughton take home 21.850 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 161.128 total points. Stoughton ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.210 points earned so far this season.
