Xiaoming Xu (Harbin, CHN) qualified for the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2010 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Xu finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Xu defeated John Benton (St. Paul, MN) 5-4, then won 7-1 against Brendan Taylor (Brandon, MB) and 7-5 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Moscow, RUS). Xu went on to lose 6-2 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Xu responded with a 7-1 win over Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK). Xu won 7-4 against Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Xu earned 13.110 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Canad Inns Prairie Classic. For week 7 of the event schedule, Xu did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Xu ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
