Andy Stewart (Stonewall, MB) finished 3-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stewart lost 9-4 to Jason Gunnlaugson (Moscow, RUS), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB) where Stewart responded with a 4-3 win over John Benton (St. Paul, MN). Stewart won 7-5 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN), then won 7-4 against Ryan Hyde (Portage la Prairie, MB). Stewart went on to lose 5-3 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stewart earned 4.370 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Stewart did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Stewart ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
