Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) finished 3-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackerman defeated
Murray Woodward (Ile des Chenes, MB) 7-1, then went on to lose 9-3 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK). Ackerman responded with a 6-3 win over Greg Todoruk (Dauphin, MB). Ackerman went on to lose 7-1 against Switzerland's Claudio Pescia. Ackerman responded with a 7-1 win over Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK). Ackerman went on to lose 8-4 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 10 of the event schedule, Ackerman did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 83rd to 91st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 21.100 total points. Ackerman ranks 137th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.270 points earned so far this season.
