Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) lost 5-3 to Germany's Andy Kapp in the Final of the Lucerne Curling Trophy, held November 11 - 14, 2010 in Lucerne, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Brewster won 3-1 over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2010 Lucerne Curling Trophy in Lucerne, Switzerland; and won 5-4 over Switzerland's Patrick Vuille in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Lucerne Curling Trophy in Lucerne, Switzerland;
 
Brewster finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster lost 5-4 to Finland's Kalle Kiiskinen, then responded with a 4-2 win over Switzerland's Thomas Lips. Brewster won 5-4 against Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS), then won 6-4 against Italy's Joel Retornaz in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Lucerne Curling Trophy, Brewster take home 7.150 world rankings points along with the $5,166CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 35.775 total points. Brewster ranks 42nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.230 points earned so far this season.
