Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) run at the 2010 Lucerne Curling Trophy came to an end in the semifinals with a 3-1 loss to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). of the 2010 Lucerne Curling Trophy in Lucerne, Switzerland; Michel advanced through the quarterfinals with a 5-4 win over Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA).
 
Michel finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Thomas Lovold (Oslo, NOR) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-1 against Mark Neeleman (Zoetemeer, NED). Michel responded with a 9-5 win over Czech Republic's David Sik. Michel won 5-2 against Germany's Andy Kapp in their final qualifying round match.
 
Michel earned 5.720 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Lucerne Curling Trophy, moving up 315 spots the World Ranking Standings into 185th place overall with 5.720 total points. Michel ranks 108th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.720 points earned so far this season.
