Martin Ferland (Trois-Rivieres, PQ) qualified for the 2010 Sun Life Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-1 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2010 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario;
 
Ferland finished 4-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferland defeated Jonathan Beuk (Kingston, ON) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Ferland lost 5-3 to Mark Kean (Ajax, ON) where Ferland responded with a 6-2 win over Matt Paul (Ottawa, ON). Ferland won 6-5 against Dale Matchett (Bradford, ON), then won 7-5 against Jake Higgs (Harrison, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ferland earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 16th place overall with 116.660 total points. Ferland ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 43.620 points earned so far this season.
