Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON) qualified for the 2010 Sun Life Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON). of the 2010 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario;
 
Middaugh finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Darcy Garbedian (Brantford, ON) 9-5, then won 6-2 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN) and 4-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Middaugh went on to lose 6-1 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Middaugh responded with a 7-3 win over Mark Kean (Ajax, ON). Middaugh won 6-5 against Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Middaugh earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 130.724 total points. Middaugh ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.875 points earned so far this season.
