To advance to the championship game, Ferbey won 7-1 over Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON) in the semifinals of the 2010 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario; and won 8-2 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals.
Ferbey finished 4-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferbey lost 6-3 to Howard Rajala (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 6-2 win over Peter Corner (Toronto, ON). Ferbey won 6-3 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY), then won 6-4 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Ferbey went on to lose 6-5 against Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON). Ferbey responded with a 6-2 win over Mike Harris (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Sun Life Classic, Ferbey take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize. For week 11 of the event schedule, Ferbey did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 47th to 48th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 40.528 total points.
