Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-5 over Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL) in the Final of the Sun Life Classic, held November 19 - 22, 2010 in Brantford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 5-2 over Mark Kean (Ajax, ON) in the semifinals of the 2010 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario; and won 5-1 over Martin Ferland (Trois-Rivieres, PQ) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario;
 
McEwen finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Nick Rizzo (Brantford, ON) 9-0, then went on to lose 4-3 against Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON). McEwen responded with a 5-4 win over Jake Higgs (Harrison, ON). McEwen won 8-5 against Howard Rajala (Ottawa, ON), then won 6-2 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Sun Life Classic Championship title, McEwen earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 288.280 total points. McEwen ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 138.570 points earned so far this season.
