Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) lost 10-7 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in the Final of the Canada Cup of Curling, held December 1 - 5, 2010 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
 
Martin finished 5-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Serge Reid (Saguenay, PQ) 8-2, then won 7-2 against Mathew Camm (Ottawa, ON) and 8-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Martin won 8-2 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB), then won 11-8 against Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canada Cup of Curling, Martin take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $19,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 441.780 total points. Martin ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 157.730 points earned so far this season.
