8-5 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON), droppimg another game, 11-5 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) where Stoughton responded with a 5-3 win over Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton won 7-2 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB), then won 9-5 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stoughton earned 9.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 208.168 total points. Stoughton ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 92.250 points earned so far this season.
