Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) qualified for the 2011 Ramada Perth Masters playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). of the 2011 Ramada Perth Masters in Perth, Scotland;
 
MacDonald finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDonald defeated Daniel Neuner (Hamburg, GER) 8-3, then won 7-2 against Graham Shaw (Perth, SCO) and 5-3 against Scotland's Neil Joss. MacDonald went on to lose 5-2 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). MacDonald responded with a 7-3 win over Czech Republic's David Sik. MacDonald won 5-4 against Duncan Fernie (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
MacDonald earned 7.260 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ramada Perth Masters. For week 18 of the event schedule, MacDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
