Trish Paulsen (Saskatoon, SK) won 6-4 over Nadine Chyz (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Women, held January 29 - February 6, 2011 in Calgary, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Paulsen won 7-6 over Breanne Meakin (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Women in Calgary, Alberta;
Paulsen finished 9-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paulsen defeated Sarah Koltun (Whitehorse, YK) 12-5, then won 7-4 against Kendra Lilly (Sudbury, NONT) and 13-3 against Taryn Williams (Yellowknife, NT). Paulsen won 8-4 against Alanna Routledge (Montreal, PQ), then won 13-6 against Sarah Fullerton (Cornwall, PEI). Paulsen went on to lose 7-6 against Meakin. Paulsen lost 4-3 to Darlene Sivertson (Victoria, BC) where Paulsen responded with a 9-3 win over Jennifer Armstrong (Fredericton, NB). Paulsen won 9-2 against Erin Porter (St. John's, NL), then won 10-2 against Lindsay Doucet (Chester, NS) and 8-5 against Clancy Grandy (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Paulsen went on to lose 9-2 against Chyz in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Women Championship title, Paulsen earned 8.000 world rankings points. For week 22 of the event schedule, Paulsen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Paulsen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
