Heather Rankin (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2010 Boundary Ford Curling Classic playoffs, set to play their quarterfinals match against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB).
 
Rankin finished 5-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rankin defeated Holly Whyte (Edmonton, AB) 9-1, then won 8-7 against Nola Zingel (Lloydminster, AB). Rankin went on to lose 6-4 against Kleibrink. Rankin responded with a 10-7 win over Shana Snell (Edmonton, AB). Rankin won 8-6 against Lindsay Makichuk (Lloydminster, AB). Rankin went on to lose 8-2 against Desiree Owen (Grande Prairie, AB). Rankin responded with a 8-4 win over Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Rankin earned 8.220 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Boundary Ford Curling Classic. For week 12 of the event schedule, Rankin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rankin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
