In their opening game, Sonnenberg defeated Delia DeJong (Edmonton, AB) 9-7, then won 9-4 against Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB). Sonnenberg went on to lose 7-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB). Sonnenberg lost 6-3 to Saskatchewan's Brandee Borne where Sonnenberg responded with a 12-9 win over Blenkin. Sonnenberg went on to lose 6-2 against DeJong in their final qualifying round match.
