6-5 to Chantal Osborne (Thurso, PQ), then responded with a 9-3 win over Joêlle Belley (Montreal, PQ). Cantin went on to lose 10-3 against Eve Belisle (Montreal, PQ). Cantin responded with a 11-1 win over Helene Pelchat (Quebec, PQ). Cantin went on to lose 10-6 against Kimberly Mastine (Lacolle, PQ). Cantin responded with a 9-6 win over Julie Hamel (Chicoutimi, PQ). Cantin won 8-5 against Marie-France Larouche (Levis, PQ), then won 6-5 against Laura Thomas (Montreal, PQ) and 7-4 against Sian Canavan (Montreal, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
