Stjerne lost 7-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) where Stjerne responded with a 12-5 win over Switzerland's Christof Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Stjerne take home 30.000 world rankings points, moving up 494 spots the World Ranking Standings into 72nd place overall with 30.000 total points.
