Hammy McMillan (Stranraer, SCO) finished 5-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McMillan lost 4-1 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), droppimg another game, 9-5 to Germany's Andy Kapp where McMillan responded with a 8-6 win over Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS). McMillan won 7-4 against Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil. McMillan went on to lose 8-6 against Switzerland's Christof Schwaller. McMillan responded with a 6-2 win over Rob Vilain (Tilburg, NED). McMillan won 5-2 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN). McMillan went on to lose 5-4 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). McMillan responded with a 7-5 win over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

McMillan earned 10.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 55.300 total points. McMillan ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.540 points earned so far this season.
