Nordin lost 7-4 to Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Nordin responded with a 6-3 win over Dustin Montpellier (North Bay, NONT). Nordin won 6-5 against Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT). Nordin went on to lose 8-6 against Joe Scharf (Thunder Bay, ON). Nordin lost 7-1 to David MacInnes (Englehart, NONT). Nordin lost 8-4 to Mike Assad (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Nordin responded with a 5-3 win over John Salo (Geraldton, NONT). Nordin went on to lose 9-2 against Mike Pozihun (Thunder Bay, NONT). Nordin lost 8-1 to Mike Jakubo (Copper Cliff, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
