7-4 to Mike Assad (Thunder Bay, NONT), then responded with a 9-4 win over Dustin Montpellier (North Bay, NONT). Pozihun went on to lose 5-2 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Pozihun responded with a 7-4 win over Jeff Currie (Thunder Bay, NONT). Pozihun went on to lose 7-5 against Joe Scharf (Thunder Bay, ON). Pozihun responded with a 9-7 win over John Salo (Geraldton, NONT). Pozihun won 8-4 against Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT), then won 8-7 against Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, NONT) and 6-1 against David MacInnes (Englehart, NONT). Pozihun went on to lose 6-5 against Mike Jakubo (Copper Cliff, NONT). Pozihun responded with a 9-2 win over Tim Nordin (Stratton, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
