Adams went on to lose 9-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Adams lost 8-5 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) where Adams responded with a 12-3 win over Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Adams won 6-5 against Jim Cotter (Kelowna, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
